MAINTENANCE HIGHLIGHTS:
2022: Installed ASPEN 1000 PRO MAX with SVT (SYNTHEIC VISION) PFD.
2021: Steve's Aircraft GASCOLATOR installed. L/R OB forward and aft wing bolts replaced with new parts. (N-317-13a BOLTS). Hydraulic power pack assembly replaced. Engine compressions, cylinders 1-4: 72/80, 74/80, 78/80, 74/80.
2020: Gill 7035-78 aircraft battery installed and faulty electric fuel pump replaced.
2019: Repairs to LH wing due to hard landing at 3621-TTAF, as noted in the ship records. The wing made contact with the runway due to a botched landing. It was shipped out for repair and returned to service. The landing gear was not damaged. Kinsey Butler/IA of Southern Air Repair in Georgia has the Work Order. SB-1006 C/W. No corrosion noted on main spar, L/H aft plate replaced per SB 1244C. Skin, web, L/H upper cap angle, L/H upper IB aft skin, L/H lower cap angle, L/H lower IB skin, L/H rib replaced (SB 1161A), L/H rib replaced. Details outlined on airframe logbook entry.
2018: EFD 1000 installed and interfaced with STEC 50 autopilot and Garmin 430W GPS/Nav/Com.
2017: ACK encoder installed. DAVTRON 800 installed.
2016: Overhauled alternator and new UREM 38E spark plugs installed.
2015: GTX-330 upgrade to ES for ADS-B. Cylinders #1, #2, #4 removed due to oiling, bores honed, pisrons cleaned, new rings installed along with new seals and gaskets. Overhauled vacuum pump installed.
2014: An oil leak was discovered at the vacuum drive - a new seal and gaskets were installed. The part leak checked ok. New mufflers installed. Aspen EFD-1000 update: 2.6.5, MAP 2.0.5 IOP, GNS-430W: 5.10 main, 5.0. GPS. #3 cylinder oiling, a serviceable replacement cylinder installed. See TRIAD W/O 21151. Cylinder installed with serviceable piston, new rings, new seals and new gaskets.
2012: New AK 450 ELT installed.
2010: @ 3169-TT the engine was removed for metal contamination and disassembled per Lycoming overhaul manual; the crankshaft, rods and gears were shipped to Rick Romans for repair and the crankcase was also repaired, cylinder reconditioned, valves and seats ground, bores honed, new rings were fitted and installed. Replacement parts include bearings, a bolt, several rings, cam kit, an oil pump body, oil pump impeller kit, a shaft, rod bolts, rod nuts, crank gear, Vernatherm, seal and gasket kit. Engine reinstalled with mineral oil. No further metal found. New motor mounts installed.
2008: JPI FS-450-P fuel flow installed.
2007: Garmin 430W & GA-35 antenna installed.
2006: Original prop replaced due to damage - new prop installed, back muffler replaced, AD 04-10-14 C/Wdue to prop strike of mall electric tow motor bar.
2004: Aircraft stripped, etched, alodined and primed with US Paint epoxy primer and painted Matterhorn White, Vivid Red, Dark Grey & Silver, main fuel tanks resealed, oil cooler hoses replaced, an M20 300-A Air/Oil Separator was added, a new alternator, Sky Tec starter and new spark plugs installed, oil cooler hoses and #2 and #3 rocker box cover gaskets were replaced; JPI EDM 730 engine monitor installed with CHT/EGT probes.
2003: Vertical card compass installed, WINDSHIELDS replaced, OAT probe installed
2002: New Dark Red AIRTEX carpet installed; oil cooler, avionics master switch, Knots 2U wing root fairings and a right side window was replaced.
2001: Grey leather seats recovered using AIRTEX materials, new engine baffles and Slick mags installed.
1999: Electro Systems Magnaflite Starter installed.
1996: Gear up landing resulted in a prop strike @ 2231 Tach. Tear down by TW Smith. Prop replaced along with courtesy step. R/H flap upper and lower inboard skin, the L.H flap lower outboard skin replaced along with the L/H flap inboard rib and doubler replaced, both nose gear doors, wing inboard flap hinge, communication antenna, all tires and tubes. Repairs by HANGAR 6 CINCINNATI.
1994: Engine rebuilt by TW Smith at 2130-TTAE, exterior chemically stripped and alodined,primed and repainted with JETGLO by Perfect Finish of Hamilton, OH using Snow White base, Deep Red & Midnight Blue trim @ 2133-TTAF.
